Bread Machine Cinnamon Raisin Bread

I have to say that I love cinnamon raisin bread, but with all the reports lately about the chemicals in our bread, I decided I wanted to go on a search for my very own bread machine version. This bread I made not only includes whole wheat flour, but by using organic flour, butter and raisins it was so much better than the store variety I used to love. While I was making the bread, we had tile guys here working on our master bathroom and I think the mouthwatering smell of the cinnamon and bread put them in a bit of a food coma. In all seriousness though, it will make your house smell delicious.

I do recommend that you plumb your raisins so they are moist and chewy in the bread. I soaked my raisins in hot water while waiting for the “add-in” beep. I, also, programed my bread machine for a 2 pound loaf with a light crust and it came out to my liking. Feel free to adjust for your taste preferences. Serve warm right out of the bread machine or toast and add butter. This bread freezes great too, I sliced the bread and froze individual slices so I am able to pop them in the toaster in the morning and go. Enjoy!
