99.5% of Diets Fail!
WoW, 99.5% If you knew that 99.5% of drivers would get in a car accident today, would you drive? Probably not, but everyday another person diets.
- Dieted for over HALF your life
- Tried every diet and still unable to lose a pound
- Felt out of control in the presence of food
- Believed you just don’t have the WILLPOWER to lose weight
- Blamed your body for failing you
If you answered yes, to even one of these dieting is to blame. It’s not your fault, it’s not your body failing you, it’s the result of diet failure over and over and over again!
The first step to reversing dieting damage is to STOP dieting! I can see the eye roll right now as you think this is so much easier said than done. I’m not going to argue against that because nothing is easy, but look at it this way.
Dieting = Restrictions = Deprivation = Binging = Poor Self Esteem = Weight Gain (see how that works!)
If you want more for yourself you can have it. You CAN be healthy and learn to feel great about your appearance all while enjoying real food. You CAN stop restricting. You CAN navigate your meals and eat whatever appeals to you.
Starting today, give yourself permission to enjoy all foods and I mean all. It will be the real game changer! See how such a little positivity can change your whole mindset. The minute you tell yourself you can not have something is the minute you will crave exactly that.
…and, if you are still doubting lifting restrictions can work. Think of it this way, let’s say 1 cup of ice cream is ~200 calories. You really want ice cream, but you can’t have ice cream because you’ve convinced yourself it’s so bad for you. You go into the kitchen and eat 1 apple (~100 calories), but that didn’t fulfill your need. You eat 2 cups of baby carrots (~100 calories), nope that didn’t do it. Now, you eat 3 cookies because you need something sweet (~150 calories) and now since the damage is already done, you eat the ice cream, but now you’ve really messed up so you might as well eat the rest of the carton (~600 calories).
Original Bowl of Ice Cream = ~200 calories
Binge = ~950 calories -AND- Poor self esteem
If you would have just given yourself permission to eat the ice cream at the beginning you would have saved yourself not only 750 calories, but negative self talk also!
Lift the restrictions, trust you body to regulate your eating, lose your food stress, and eliminate food anxiety.
