Let’s Get to Know Each Other!
I am a fat-positive, weight-inclusive registered dietitian who supports clients with compassion, curiosity, and a touch of humor. I am fat-positive, neuro-affirming, and LGBTQ+ affirming, and I strive to create a space where all clients feel respected, supported, and safe enough to explore their relationship with food, body, and self. My work is grounded in trauma-informed care and rooted in Health at Every Size® principles.
My approach is collaborative, non-judgmental, and centered on helping clients reconnect with their inner wisdom. My goal is to support people in reclaiming their authenticity and cultivating the kind of gentle, sustainable self-care that allows their true selves to thrive.
When I’m out of the office…
When I’m out of the office, you can usually find me with a book in hand (I aim to read at least 25 books a year), knitting something cozy, or taking ballroom dance lessons with my husband—fun fact: he enjoys them even more than I do!
I absolutely love to travel and have had the joy of visiting more than 20 countries. Italy remains my favorite destination. The food is incredible, and the shopping is even better.
I’m definitely a tea person, but I still love spending time in coffee shops…mostly for the pastries.
I have three children who are now young adults, and I’m savoring this new season of life as an empty nester—and having an absolute blast.
Professional Bio
Here’s my experience & approach -
received my Bachelor of Science in Applied Nutrition from Penn State in 1996 and completed my dietetic internship with Aramark in Philadelphia. With more than 25 years of experience in the field of nutrition, my career began in clinical dietetics, where I worked as both a clinical dietitian and a clinical dietitian manager at local hospitals. I have gained direct experience working at a behavioral and mental inpatient hospital.
I transitioned into outpatient nutrition counseling with a strong focus on Intuitive Eating. I became a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor in 2009 and have practiced as a weight-inclusive dietitian ever since. In 2024, I completed extensive coursework to become a Body Trust® Specialist. Over the past 15 years, I have also pursued additional specialized training in eating disorders with Marci Evans and Jessica Setnick, and in body image work with Bri Campos, Rebecca Scritchfield, and others.
Discovering Intuitive Eating and a size-inclusive approach to health changed the trajectory of my career, and I have never looked back. I truly feel called to help individuals break free from diet culture and explore body image concerns with curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for their lived experience.
As a post-menopausal mom of three grown children, I bring firsthand understanding of the emotions that can arise as bodies change across the lifespan. I am grateful for the privilege of walking alongside my clients as they navigate their own journeys toward wellbeing.
I believe strongly in a collaborative, team-based approach to care and am committed to advocating for my clients within their treatment teams. I trust each person’s inner wisdom and use a client-centered, affirming approach to support meaningful and sustainable growth.
